@Charles - I knew a guy who had a thrash metal band and thought he was a great guitar player but to me it seemed to be an excuse to not learning the instrument by saying he didnt play other peoples music he wrote his own music problem was it wasnt music so my experience with this guy and others put a bad taste in my mouth for thrash metal guitarist.Remember, this is just my opinion from my experiences.Rock on with these cool jam tracks!!

@gerry douglas – Oh…. Well, they are the posers who like to listen to other stuff. Many good guitar influence came from GOOD thrash metal bands. Megadeth is notorious for very complex guitar riffs/solos and Toxik has a habit of sweep picking. Annihilator is probably one of the most progressive/technical thrash metal band out there, using a lot of harmonic minors and diminished sliding into minors. There is plenty of good thrash metal bands that give influence to today’s shredding. But those who don’t take that for granted are posers.
