My name is Storm Stenvold. Welcome to my online lesson studio, Guitar Teacher.com!

I teach individual and group guitar lessons online (since 2001) and have taught guitar for 17 years. I was a founding faculty member of California’s Guitar Activity Center, a music school with campuses in Sacramento, Berkeley and Mountain View. I currently teach 40 students per week in private instruction, both online and in my home town, and thousands more through free content available on GuitarTeacher.com.

I attended the University of California – Berkeley and graduated with honors from Musicians Institute – Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT). My instructors included Scott Henderson, Paul Gilbert, Steve Trovato, Ron Eschete and Keith Wyatt.

My live playing credits span the diverse musical styles I enjoy, from Jazz to Rock to Reggae. I record guitar for commercial, dance and electronic music including Warner Brothers production team Mephisto Odyssey and for my own original projects. I won radio station KSJO’s “Best Guitarist” competition in 1997. I am currently involved in a handful of recording projects and performing dates.

I teach Private Guitar Lessons Online, both Acoustic and Electric guitar, for all ages and levels. I am a primarily a rock guitarist with experience in Blues, Jazz, Country, Acoustic, Reggae, Funk and Alternative styles.
